The Commonwealth of Virginia wants to "Give you the Money"!
Through the Virginia Department of Mines, Minerals, and Energy, there is approximately $5 million available for a new “Virginia Home Efficiency Rebate Program” to make existing homes more energy efficient. Among other energy efficient improvements are installing “Energy Star” certified RUSCO vinyl replacement windows and Provia steel and fiberglass entry doors. Under this program, homeowners will be eligible to reserve funds for rebates for 20% of the costs of qualifying energy conserving products and services, up to $595.00. DMME will accept applications online at www.dmme.virginia.gov on a first-come, first serve basis until the funding has been reserved. A waiting list will also be created, and applicants will be placed on that list in order that they are received. As approved rebates are redeemed and paid, additional funds from unclaimed rebates will allow approval of requests on the waiting list. Energy efficient equipment and items purchased and installed on or after March 26, 2010 will be eligible for the rebate if they meet all other eligibility requirements. This rebate is available toVirginia homeowners only. Virginia homeowners will have 60 days to complete their projects once their reservation is approved. So call me now for your windows and doors, before the money runs out.
